A Guide to Doodle Dog Breeds and Poodle Mixes

April 4, 2022

It’s undeniable that the Poodle is one of the most popular dog breeds in the United States. It currently sits at #5 on the top dog breed list in America, a title it has recently reclaimed. Named the national dog of France, Poodles have tugged on the heartstrings of many dog owners, earning their place as valued family members.

But…have you ever thought about bringing a Poodle mix or a Doodle breed home?

Labeled “designer dog breeds”, Poodle mixes and Doodle breeds have risen in popularity over the last few years. These hybrid mixes often take the best qualities of the Poodle breed and combine them with the best traits of another breed.

And there are plenty of amazing qualities that make the Poodle so special! Whether it’s their intelligence, hypoallergenic coat, or energetic nature, Poodles are an amazing choice for many breeders when creating a new dog breed.

With Poodle mixes and Doodle dog breeds, their size and appearance always vary based on which parent they take on the most. Poodles come in three distinct sizes: Standard, Miniature, and Toy. This means that a Poodle mix or Doodle litter may grow bigger or smaller than expected.

If you’re interested in bringing a Poodle mix or Doodle dog breed into your life, read on. In this blog post, we will explore a few of the most popular Poodle mixed breeds and Doodles to help you make the best decision!

Table of Contents

Aussiepoo

A cute tan, brown and white Aussiepoo sitting in a Petland store looking at the camera.

The Aussiepoo is an adorable, fluffy mix of the energetic Australian Shepherd and Poodle breeds. Also known as Aussiepoodles, the Aussiepoo is a spunky little dog with floppy ears and teddy bear-like good looks.

This breed is well-known for its high-energy, people-oriented personality. They make great companions for all kinds of families, but especially those with young children. They aren’t ever aggressive as they possess a calm temperament. These dogs enjoy playtime and exercise so you can expect them to kiss, cuddle, and play with the younger members of your family.

Because Australian Shepherds and Poodles are highly intelligent dog breeds, Aussiepoos are fast learners. Their entire personalities revolve around pleasing their owners so they’re very easy to train. You don’t have to worry about your Aussiepoo trying to upstage you or boss you around. They also respond well to positive reinforcement so make sure to give them praises and treats during training.

As for size, Aussiepoos are small-to-medium-sized dogs. They usually weigh between 25 to 70 pounds and grow no more than 13 to 24 inches. The Aussiepoo’s size is determined by its Poodle parent. The larger their Poodle parent is, the bigger an Aussiepoo puppy will be.

Thanks to their Australian Shepherd parent, Aussiepoos often come in a variety of beautiful coat colors. It’s typical to see Aussiepoo puppies with a gorgeous combination of tan, black, brown, gray, and blue colors. They can also appear in solid colors or coat patterns.

Of course, their coat and appearance are dependent on their Aussie Shepherd and Poodle parents. It’s impossible to determine what colors Aussiepoos will be born with. Their coat may also vary between wavy or curly depending on their Poodle parent. They are also hypoallergenic dogs, which makes them the perfect pets for allergy sufferers.

Aussiedoodle

A cute, merle Aussiedoodle sitting on a white rug inside a Petland Miami store.

Outgoing and patient, the Aussiedoodle is a one-of-a-kind dog that you’ll ever meet. Aussiedoodles are a beautiful mix of the Australian Shepherd and Goldendoodle breeds. As such, this breed inherits each of its parent breed’s lively, energetic spirit and family-centric nature.

Aussiedoodles form strong bonds with their loved ones. Their devotion to their human caregivers makes them amazing pets for families big and small. They have a gentle, sweet-natured personality that lets them be affectionate with anyone they meet. They’re incredibly people-centric so they often work as therapy or emotional support dogs.

Aussiedoodles are also dogs packed with tons of energy. They need at least 30 minutes of playtime and exercise regularly. They are well-suited for families with young children, and will often try to initiate play with them. It’s important to stimulate Aussiedoodles whenever possible.

Aussiedoodles don’t cope well with boredom or loneliness. They may become mischievous or destructive if they don’t have anything to do. Along with physical exercise and playtime, Aussiedoodles love brain games that test out their knowledge. Mix in puzzle games and scavenger hunts so that your pooch is always stimulated in some way.

Most Aussiedoodles are easy to train. They possess an eager-to-please personality so they will always be ready to learn a new trick or command. They’re also incredibly intelligent due to their Australian Shepherd and Goldendoodle heritage.

This breed grows between 10 to 15 inches tall and weighs 25 to 70 pounds. Of course, size and weight always vary depending on the parent breeds. Aussiedoodles typically come in various colors, including blue merle, red merle, red and white, and black and tan.

Some Aussies may have solid-colored coats but this is considered rare. This breed is also hypoallergenic and requires regular grooming to keep its cute, cuddly appearance.

If you’re interested in the Aussiedoodle breed, be sure to check out our available Aussiedoodle puppies for sale.

Bichon Poo

A fluffy, cream and white colored Bichon Poo puppy sitting on a rug and looking at the camera.

Also called the Poochon, the Bichon Poo is a lively, affectionate, and gentle puppy that has won the hearts of many families. A hybrid cross between the Bichon Frise and Poodle breeds, they have such a delicate and cuddle demeanor that is so hard to resist. This breed is happy to lounge around all day with you…as long as you indulge in small bursts of playtime with them!

Bichon Poos need constant social interaction. Whether you take them on a stroll or invite guests home, these dogs must be at the center of it all. They love meeting new people and making friends with everyone they meet. They thrive best with other companions at home.

When it comes to size, Bichon Poos weigh 6 to 17 pounds and stand between 9 to 15 inches tall. Like the other breeds on this list, their size is largely determined by their Poodle parents. And despite their small size, they’re known to bark up a storm at unfamiliar guests or strangers.

Bichon Poos have a soft, silky coat that comes in cream, apricot, and tan. Some dogs in this breed have a gorgeous blend of these colors or have a solid coat color. Grey and black Bichon Poos are extremely rare. This breed’s coat usually grows to a medium length. It is also hypoallergenic but requires regular grooming to maintain its beautiful look.

Training is extremely important when it comes to Bichon Poos. Bichon Poos are sweet, affectionate little dogs but they bark a lot around strangers. Make sure to socialize and train your Bichon Poo puppy so that it becomes a polite adult dog.

Due to their small size, they should also be supervised around young children. Bichon Poos are delicate so it’s easy for them to get injured during playtime. This breed does not do well left alone for a long time. It needs constant social interaction with their family members. Having a lot of family members or animals around them keeps them happy.

If you’re interested in Bichon Poos, be sure to check out our available Bichon Poo puppies for sale.

Cavapoo

An adorable, wavy-haired Cavapoo puppy sitting on a white pillow.

A mix between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Poodle, the Cavapoo is a spunky, playful puppy that adores attention. They enjoy hanging out with their human family for any type of activity. Their favorite activities include playing a game of fetch or snuggling with their human on the couch!

The Cavapoo’s popularity is no secret to anyone who’s met one. These dogs are friendly and charming with everyone they meet. As family dogs, they prefer receiving attention from their favorite family members. If left in isolation, Cavapoos become restless and whiny, leading to destructive behavior.

Cavapoos live for validation and praise. Training this breed is a cinch—they love performing tricks as long as you shower them with treats! Along with training, Cavapoos are natural athletes and can perform in agility and obedience competitions.

Socialization is important to start early since Cavapoos can be wary of other dogs or people. Even with training, it’s a good idea to introduce your Cavapoo puppy in a gradual, slow manner to avoid scaring them.

On average, a Cavapoo is a small to medium-sized dog, growing 9 to 14 inches tall. They also weigh between 9 to 25 pounds. This specific hybrid breed tends to become overweight if overfed. Make sure to feed your Cavapoo the right amount of nutritious dog food. Their coats are soft and short. Their fur may be wavy or curly, depending on their Poodle parent.

They can be a variety of colors, such as tan, white, cream, chestnut, and gold. Their most common colors are chocolate, chestnut, and chestnut and white. Their coat is hypoallergenic but requires regular brushing to prevent knots. Avoid leaving your Cavapoo puppy outside in extreme weather.

Due to their family-oriented nature, Cavapoos tend to be a little clingy. It helps to train and socialize these dogs so that they grow accustomed to being alone. However, Cavapoos need love and attention from their owners so be ready to pepper your little pooch with kisses!

Cockapoo

A cute, wavy-haired Cockapoo puppy looking at the camera while standing in a field.

Known as the Cockapoodle, the Cockapoo is a cute dog with infinite amounts of love to give! This breed is deeply affectionate and friendly. They warm up to any person or animal they may meet along the way—small or big, young or old!

The Cockapoo gets its love for life from its Cocker Spaniel and Poodle parents. Every moment of each day is a happy occasion for these dogs. They’re also very outgoing and prefer enjoying a few hours outside with their favorite humans.

Cockapoos don’t mind snuggle time either! If you want to spend your day relaxing on the couch, your little fluffy buddy will be right there with you. Remember: Cockapoos are companion dogs so they thrive when they’re around their owners. Because of their friendly nature, this breed is great with children and other pets.

Cockapoos normally grow between 10 to 15 inches tall at the shoulder. They may weigh around 6 to 19 pounds, depending on the size of their Poodle parent. These dogs have a long, hypoallergenic coat that can be wavy or curly. One thing that separates the Cockapoo from other Poodle mixes is their coat colors.

A Cockapoo’s coat comes in a rich, vibrant array of colors, such as cream, golden, and merle. It also isn’t unusual to see a brown/chocolate, black, or even red Cockapoo strolling down a street. To retain their shiny, lustrous coat, make sure to brush this breed daily and bathe them once a month.

Training comes easy with Cockapoos as long as you use positive reinforcement like treats and praises. This breed is highly intelligent so they can learn new tricks at a rapid pace. Also, if you’re looking for a cute dog that doesn’t make tons of noise, the Cockapoo is your best bet. These dogs don’t bark as much as others and make terrible guard dogs, overall. It isn’t anything you can train your Cockapoo into doing…they’re just naturally amicable!

Havapoo

A cute, fluffy Havapoo puppy standing on a white rug in a Petland Miami store.

A mix of the Havanese and Poodle breeds, Havapoos are fluffy, lively lap dogs with a heart full of gold. These dogs are always docile and gentle, even around small children. Their lack of aggression may make them easy prey for older, larger, and bossier dogs so it’s important to supervise your Havapoo during playtime.

Although the other Poodle mixes and Doodles are highly intelligent, Havapoos take it to the next level. This breed’s sharp intelligence helps them make quick decisions and learn new commands. Of course, their intelligence also comes at a price. Learning the same tricks over again will bore the Havapoo.

They may try to stimulate themselves through mischief around your home. Prevent your Havapoo’s boredom by providing them with attention, play, and toys. This breed is playful but only requires moderate amounts of exercise. 30 minutes of daily exercise and playtime is enough to keep Havapoos happy. These dogs aren’t “work dogs” so you shouldn’t expect them to get their paws too dirty.

Compared to the other dogs on this list, Havapoos possess a calm, laidback temperament. They don’t bark often, making them great companions (and neighbors!). While size varies with Poodle mixes, Havapoos are typically small-to-medium-sized dogs. They grow no larger than 8 to 15 inches tall and weigh between 7 to 30 pounds.

As for their coat, Havapoos have many different colors and combinations. Some common coat colors include black, white, brown, blue, and silver. Their fur may be straight and silky like their Havanese parents or wavy and curly like their Poodle parents. Regardless of which coat type your Havapoo inherits, they will need to be brushed a few times a week and bathed every 1-2 months.

The Havapoo is a sweet, gentle, and mischievous little dog that enjoys being your best friend. They will try to hog all of your attention and as long as you indulge them a little, your fluffy Havapoo will be happy!

If you’re interested in bringing a Havapoo puppy home, check out our available Havapoo puppies for sale.

Maltipoo

A cream-colored Maltipoo puppy standing on a wooden table and looking at the camera.

The Maltipoo is a cross between the Maltese and Poodle breeds—and inherits the best traits from both parents! Maltipoos are loving and playful animals. They make amazing family pets, especially since they love being around their loved ones.

This Poodle mix breed tends to be smaller than the other dogs on this list. They stand between 8 to 14 inches tall and weigh 5 to 20 pounds. Of course, their size is largely dependent on their Poodle parent but if they take after their Maltese heritage, they will be on the smaller side. Their size makes them easy to adapt to different living situations, such as apartments and condominiums.

Maltipoos enjoy being the life of the party among their family. They get along with strangers and guests alike. Be warned: Maltipoos inherit the yappy attitude of their Maltese parents. You may need to train them to reduce their barking. This breed also experiences short bursts of energy and activity so it’s a good idea to set aside 10 to 20 minutes of playtime or exercise. This will help keep them happy and out of trouble.

Due to their sweet, affectionate nature, Maltipoos are also great pets for beginners. These little pooches aren’t stubborn or bossy. They live to please and receive praises. That’s why training Maltipoos is so easy—Maltipoos only want to make you happy. We highly recommend socializing your Maltipoo from the time they’re young to prevent social anxiety.

This breed has a high-maintenance grooming routine. They shed little, making them perfect dogs for those with allergies. Their fluffy, wool-like coat also ranges between wavy and curly. Maltipoos typically come in cream, white, and silver colors. Their fur may also be brown, gray, or black but these colors are considered rare.

These dogs need to be brushed daily and have their fur trimmed each month. Do not bathe your Maltipoo every week as this can strip away the oils from their fur. A monthly bath is enough to keep them clean.

Maltipoos are not suitable for owners who work all day. Like the other Poodle mixes and Doodle breeds, this breed prefers to have constant companionship. They do not like being alone for a long time and may resort to destructive behavior if they aren’t home. Maltipoos are also sensitive to people’s emotions and needs. They are the type of pooch to cuddle and kiss you after a long day of work!

Mini Bernedoodle

A cute Mini Bernedoodle puppy sitting on a grassy lawn.

The Mini Bernedoodle, also called the Mini Bernadoodle, is a gorgeous, large dog that has grown in popularity in the last few years. They’re a cross between the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Miniature Poodle breeds. This mix gives you a smaller version of their Bernedoodle cousins.

Mini Bernedoodles are a wonderful, calm, and faithful dog breed. They share the same typical characteristics as other Doodle breeds: playful, friendly, and intelligent. But there’s one key trait that separates them from other Poodle mixes and that’s their fierce loyalty. Once bonded, these dogs spend their lives devoted to the happiness of their families. Of course, this makes them one of the best pets to have at home.

Mini Bernedoodles grow around 10 to 15 inches tall. They tend to weigh between 10 to 30 pounds. They possess a medium-length coat that can be wavy or curly. They’re also hypoallergenic, rarely shedding their fur or producing dander. Mini Bernedoodles’ coat colors include the signature tricolor pattern (black, white, and tan), red, and black and white. To maintain the Mini Bernedoodle’s looks, they must be regularly groomed.

Mini Bernedoodles are calm and even-tempered. They do not make a fuss when it comes to learning new commands, although they may be a little stubborn. Use positive reinforcement to make training easier for your Mini Bernedoodle. This breed also does well when it has a job to do. They get this trait from their Bernese Mountain Dog parent.

As such, we recommend giving your Mini Bernedoodle at least 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day. You should also provide toys that mentally stimulate your fluffy pooch so that they don’t grow bored. These dogs are also quiet and can be trained to bark on command.

Many Mini Bernedoodles have a goofy side to their personality. With the right training and socialization, they can be great furry friends for your family and living situation. Just be ready to dedicate your time to raising your Mini Bernedoodle puppy. They aren’t too fond of being left alone but can be taught to tolerate it for a few hours.

Mini Goldendoodle

A cream-colored Mini Goldendoodle standing on a dog bed in a Petland Miami store.

The Miniature Goldendoodle is one of the most well-known Doodle breeds. As a cross of the Golden Retriever and the Miniature Poodle, this dog possesses the energetic, sociable, and loving traits of both breeds. Mini Goldendoodles are incredibly extroverted—they love meeting new people and animals!

You’ll notice this trait every time you take your Mini Goldendoodle puppy out for a walk. For your adorable puppy, each stranger you meet is an opportunity to make friends. Along with being social butterflies, this breed is active and energetic. They need at least 30 minutes of exercise and playtime daily to be happy and healthy little dogs. These dogs also benefit from brain games and puzzle toys to stimulate their brain.

Mini Goldendoodles are extremely intelligent, making them easy to train. However, your Mini Goldendoodle may have a short attention span due to its high energy. As such, training should be consistent and done in short sessions. Patience is key with Mini Goldendoodles. We also suggest switching up your training routine. Rather than repeat the same tricks, try switching up different commands for each day.

The average height of a Mini Goldendoodle ranges from 13 to 20 inches and 15 to 35 pounds in weight. They’re the smallest of the three main Goldendoodle sizes. When it comes to grooming, it’s crucial to stay on top of your Mini Goldendoodle puppy’s coat. Their low-shedding coat needs to be brushed every day to avoid knotting and matting. If you can’t brush daily, then at least once or twice a week will be enough. Some common coat colors for a Mini Goldendoodle include black, brown, blue, cream/beige, and white.

Mini Goldendoodles like to give affection to their family….but they also enjoy getting some back! Cuddles and praises make these pooches happy little dogs. Also, this breed is very friendly and can play with young children. Make sure you keep a close watch on your furry friend during playtime though.

Mini Goldendoodles bark all the time, whether they’re excited or scared. You can train them to limit their barking but the breed is naturally inclined to be vocal. If you have neighbors or do not like dogs that bark, Mini Goldendoodles aren’t the right match for you. This breed is also family-centric so they’ll need lots of quality time with their family members daily.

Mini Labradoodle

A black Mini Labradoodle puppy sitting on top of a white blanket in a Petland Miami store.

The Mini Labradoodle is a downright cute, lovable, and fluffy dog. A cross between the Labrador Retriever and Minature Poodle breeds, this wonderful breed is a sweetheart the moment you meet them. They’re incredibly family-friendly, a trait the breed always exudes whenever they’re around their loved ones. They’re also playful, enjoying long periods of exercise and play. The breed inherits this unique trait from its Labrador Retriever parent.

As such, Mini Labs are natural athletes. It’s never enough to take these fluffy pooches out for a quick walk —- they enjoy going on full-on runs. A home with a large yard or a local dog park is perfect for this breed. Just make sure your backyard is fenced in as these pooches also have wonderful tracking ability. You never know where your mischievous pup may go running off to!

Mini Labradoodles are easy to train, thanks to their high intelligence. These dogs love to learn tricks and commands. Of course, due to their high energy, we recommend keeping your pup occupied with toys and new tricks so that they don’t grow bored. Also, leash-train your puppy as early as possible to teach them how to behave during walks. The last thing you want is for your Mini Lab puppy to pull at your leash when they meet a stranger!

Most Mini Labradoodles grow up to 17 to 20 inches tall. However, if your puppy inherits more of their Labrador genes, they may reach up to 24 inches in height! Smaller Mini Labs weigh 15-25 pounds while larger ones may weigh up to 65 pounds. It all depends on which breed they take after.

This breed’s coat is typically fluffy, soft, and hypoallergenic. Some puppies have a tight curly coat that’s soft and rug-like. This breed usually comes in cream, white, tan, black, or chocolate coat colors. The best way to maintain the softness of their coat is to groom them once or twice a week. These dogs do not need to be bathed often unless they spend a long time outside (which we don’t recommend).

Having a Mini Labradoodle at home is an adventure. Some days, you’ll experience the gentle, affectionate side of your puppy while on other occasions, you’ll see how goofy they can be! They aren’t aggressive and can be friendly with other animals. However, if your puppy has more Labrador Retriever in their genes, they may be reserved around strangers. Be sure to train, train, train so that your adorable puppy can be itself in any situation.

If this breed caught your attention, check out our available Mini Labradoodle puppies for sale. You can also check out their larger Labradoodle cousins through our blog, Labradoodle: A Puppy You’ll Forever Love.

Newfypoo

A black, wavy-haired Newfypoo puppy laying on a gray dog bed in a Petland Miami store.

Multitalented and intelligent, the Newfypoo is likely one of the most underrated dogs on this list. Newfypoos are the fluffy, soft-hearted result of crossing a Newfoundland and Poodle together. We mean when we say this breed is just as cuddly on the inside as they are on the outside.

Just like the Newfoundland breed, Newfypoos are considered “Gentle Giants” due to their friendly, loving nature. You’ll never find another dog who is more patient than a Newfypoo! Their calm demeanor allows them to be great companions for young children (though you will still need to supervise them). This breed will never bare its teeth or growl at its loved ones.

Newfypoos can stand up to 28 inches tall and weigh between 70 and 150 pounds. They’re a large Poodle mixed breed so it’s important to keep watch when your Newfypoo is playing with young children or toddlers. This breed thrives in environments with large open spaces that allow them to stretch, play, and exercise. They also need regular exercise and playtime (about 30-60 minutes a day) to keep them happy.

Newfypoos usually respond well to training. They have big hearts so they’ll want to please you in any way they can. Learning new tricks and commands is as easy as pie when it comes to this breed. And as natural social butterflies, they’ll enjoy every opportunity they get to be with you.

Newfypoos are intelligent and amicable but they need to be socialized properly as puppies. This can help your puppy become self-confident and well-behavior in different situations. We also recommend leash training your Newfypoo puppy, considering their size and energy level.

Newfypoos are low-shedding dogs, making them completely hypoallergenic. They have a thick and curly coat that’s soft to the touch. Grooming is a huge must with Newfypoos. If your puppy spends a lot of time outside, you need to brush them every day to prevent debris from sticking onto their fur. Their coat comes in different colors, such as black, brown, and gray.

Newfypoos are wonderful, lovable dogs that require a family who can devote their time to going on adventures with them. Although Newypoos are naturally sweet, they tend to show a protective side with unfamiliar guests and strangers. Here is where training and socialization come in handy—do not forget to do this. This breed also does well in locations that aren’t too hot. Their thick fur keeps them warm and cozy in cold weather but may put them in danger during hot weather.

If you’re interested in this breed, take a look at our available Newfypoo puppies for sale.

Shih Poo

A cute, fluffy Shih Poo puppy sitting on top of a rock.

The Shih Poo earns their way into your life with just a look from their gleaming eyes! A mix of the Shih Tzu and Poodle breeds, Shih Poos are small and adorable dogs that aren’t afraid to show off their spunkiness. Shih Poos are also known as Shoodle or Pooshi, but don’t try to confuse them with other Poodle mixes—-this breed is a kind of its own!

Although small, Shih Poos have a courageous personality that pushes them to be a bit mischievous. They’re friendly and playful with their family members and familiar guests. However, there is a stubbornness to this breed that requires you to be patient during training. You can win them over with positive reinforcement techniques like treats and praises. Scolding a Shih Poo will only reinforce their stubborn, no-nonsense attitude.

Shih Poos grow between 8 to 18 inches tall and weigh around 8 to 18 pounds. Their hypoallergenic coat varies with each dog. Many Shih Poos can either have curly furs like Poodles or straight, silky fur like the Shih Tzu. Some Shih Poos have a mix of both.

Their colors also vary, often coming in solid white, brown, brindle, or cream color. Weekly grooming is needed to keep their appearance looking nice. They may need to be bathed bi-weekly to prevent their coat from becoming dry.

One of the best qualities of the Shih Poo breed is its flexibility. They have a moderate energy level, never needing any more than 20 minutes of play and exercise each day. They’re also just as happy to live in an apartment as they are in a house. Be sure to indulge your Shih Poo in games and training exercises to keep them occupied.

Overall, Shih Poos enjoy interaction and activity with their family. They may not be responsive to your training cues but as long as you put your foot down, they’ll cooperate. These dogs do not bark a lot but will get your attention if you do something they don’t like, such as a missed meal. Shih Poos are lap dogs so if your idea of a perfect day is to snooze on the couch, you can be your cuddly furry friend will be catching z’s right next to you.

Do you like the Shih Poo breed? Check out our available Shih Poo puppies for sale.

Yorkipoo

An adorable, curly-haired tan Yorkipoo puppy posing on a lawn.

Sassy, bold, and mischievous, the Yorkipoo is a Poodle mix that’s designed to be every family’s best friend. A hybrid mix of the Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) and Poodle breeds, the Yorkipoo is a little dog that’s packed with energy and courage. They possess a “tiny but mighty” personality no matter who they meet.

Yorkipoos get their boldness from their Yorkie parent. Growing no more than 15 inches tall and weighing less than 20 points, this breed often forgets how small they are. They will play, cuddle, bark, and even stand up to anyone who dares challenge them. With their families, Yorkipoos are quick to bond but they tend to play favorites. There’s always one member of their family they’ll cuddle with and follow the most.

Due to their high intelligence, training a Yorkipoo is easy…but there’s a catch. This breed gets bored quickly and likes variety over repetition. Keep training sessions short and sweet.

Some Yorkipoos are stubborn (and a little bossy). They may try to “train” you instead. If you notice your Yorkipoo ignoring your commands, use positive reinforcement. These dogs love getting praised for being good little dogs so use that to your advantage.

Yorkipoos have a unique coat that ranges from sleek and silky to curly, depending on which parent they take after the most. They rarely shed hair but require a regular grooming routine to prevent their coat from becoming tangled or dry. Their coat also comes in a myriad of beautiful colors, like black, brown, tan, beige, and white. They may have a combination of these colors or just have solid colors.

Yorkipoos can adapt to different living conditions, including apartments and condos. This breed is vocal and enjoys barking. If you’re looking for an excellent watchdog, Yorkiepoos are the best dog for the job. Training and socialization should help reduce their yappy side.

Yorkipoos are charismatic little dogs. Their personalities are the first thing you’ll notice about them. Once bonded, they show affection and fierce loyalty towards their owners for life. Yorkipoos also have some mischievous tendencies so make sure your puppy has something to do. They only require moderate exercise but they must have some time with you. Establish trust and love with your Yorkipoo puppy and we promise, you’ll have a four-legged friend forever!

If you like the Yorkipoo, check out our available Yorkipoo puppies for sale.

Poodle mixes and Doodle breeds come in so many beautiful looks and sizes. Overall, these dogs inherit the Poodle’s penchant for family and social time. Their enjoyment of life is a trait that can’t be seen in other dog breeds.

Each dog on this list is hypoallergenic or low-shedding like its Poodle parent. They’re also natural Einsteins, talented athletes, and big softies. If that sounds like your dream puppy, then you can’t go wrong with Poodle mixes or Doodles.
