Delicious Puppy Treats!

Here’s a quick and easy treat to take on your puppy adventures!

Soft Peanut Butter Carrot Dog Treats
Ingredients:
    • 1 cup of natural creamy peanut butter
    • ¾ of skim milk
    • 1 large egg (or ¼ cup of unsweetened applesauce)
    • 1 large carrot (around 2/3 cup shredded)
    • 2 ¼ cups of whole wheat flour
    • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1/3 of oats (either whole rolled or quick oats work too)

Instructions:

    • Preheat your oven to 325 F.
    • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
    • In a large mixing bowl, mix the peanut butter, milk, egg and carrot together.
    • Add the flour and baking powder.
    • Knead the dough on a flat and floured surface (the dough will be extremely thick and heavy).
    • Carefully mix in the oats.
    • Use a rolling pin that is floured to rollout the dough into ¼ of thickness.
    • Cut it into the shape you desire with a cookie cutter.
    • Arrange the dough on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until they are golden.
      • Carefully remove from the oven, and flip the treats to bake the other side for 10 more minutes.
    • Remove your treats from the baking sheet and allow them to completely cool down before serving them to your puppy (can be stored for up to 1 week).

Now they are ready for your puppy to enjoy! Don’t forget to give your fur-baby lots of cuddles after each one.
