Here’s a quick and easy treat to take on your puppy adventures!
Soft Peanut Butter Carrot Dog Treats
Ingredients:

- 1 cup of natural creamy peanut butter

- ¾ of skim milk

- 1 large egg (or ¼ cup of unsweetened applesauce)

- 1 large carrot (around 2/3 cup shredded)

- 2 ¼ cups of whole wheat flour

- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1/3 of oats (either whole rolled or quick oats work too)
Instructions:

- Preheat your oven to 325 F.

- Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

- In a large mixing bowl, mix the peanut butter, milk, egg and carrot together.

- Add the flour and baking powder.
-
- Knead the dough on a flat and floured surface (the dough will be extremely thick and heavy).

- Carefully mix in the oats.

- Use a rolling pin that is floured to rollout the dough into ¼ of thickness.

- Cut it into the shape you desire with a cookie cutter.

- Arrange the dough on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until they are golden.

- Carefully remove from the oven, and flip the treats to bake the other side for 10 more minutes.

- Remove your treats from the baking sheet and allow them to completely cool down before serving them to your puppy (can be stored for up to 1 week).
